This term for extension (our last term and year) we are doing a fun project. This project is based on escape rooms, literally. Our teachers had a recent experience of this so this is what our project is based on. We chose horror as our genre. Our escape room is about the movie ‘Smile’. We are almost done which is pretty exciting. We are cutting out keys and making padlocks. I am working for Angelica, Aye, and Kiarah. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Today some of the extension students and other students from Pt England got to have another trip to KPMG. Our wishes came true, we wished to come back and visit. This trip was based on the topic for this term (Term 4 Mana Tu, Mitey You).
The helpers introduced themselves and then we had our delicious morning tea. When we finished eating we went on a tour of the building. My group consisted of Kahzyilou, Paula, Nora, and myself and our helpers were Luke and Anyah. The building has 5 massive floors with heaps of people doing work, etc.
When we came back we had a mental health lesson with Amber. It was such a good lesson that really helped me and others on how we feel or when we need help. Soon we wrote letters to someone but I really enjoyed this certain card making session then all my other ones. I wrote my one to my sister Catherine. Lunch was up next which we were all truly excited for.
After lunch we learnt Tai Chi was very interesting and entertaining to do. Finally we got a lolly pop each and gave one to someone in the building as a act of kindness. I gave mine to one of the guys we met on our last trip and one to the bus driver. I felt very happy and joy came across me.

This term for Extension we have been focusing on Photopea and cultural art. Photopea is an online photo editing software where you can edit photos and draw different art pieces. I chose to do France and draw the many unique things about France. I really enjoyed drawing this and using photopea. I also enjoyed learning new facts based around France. This week for extension we worked on colour wheels, definitions, and vocab. One of our first tasks was to find out the definitions of certain words and find the examples/colours of it. Today some of the year seven and eight students went on a trip to KPMG. When we got there, there were people who introduced themselves. After that we went on a tour around the building/office. My group consisted of Emeline, Kolotita, Nora, Jade, Kahziloyu, and one of our helpers Chris. Then we came back for morning tea (which was amazing!). Next we took some pictures with Jez who did photography and drew some artwork pieces. Soon we had our delicious lunch. Lastly we played with clay and made stop motion animations. This term for extension we learnt and researched about Local/Tamaki history. After we learnt heaps about it we moved onto a different topic. We chose myths and legends because there are some certain myths and legends about these iconic areas in Tamaki. I worked with Eva and Legacy. I learnt quite a lot about myths and legends. We have been working on our local history projects and now we are working on our movies/brainstorm. I made this brainstorm with Lili-May and I will be making a movie with Eva and Legacy. Hello, welcome back to my blog/welcome to my blog! This is one of my extension tasks for last week. I finished it but the screenshot took time to upload. This tasks was about drawing what Mt Wellington looked way before now. This is what I think. The first screenshot is my drawing and the second screenshot is what it looks like now. It probably has huts, marae, and lots of waka. It had marae and huts because the people maybe lived outside and their homes were in the wild. They also had waka because that was their transport.
