DLO – Visual Mihi 2022

Hello, welcome back to my blog/welcome to my blog! This is my DLO for term 1. It is about my Visual Mihi 2022. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

I drew my 4 values that I value in my life: Value 1 – Famili. My family is very important and special to me in my life. It is one of the many blessings I’ve received. I love and care for them. I love spending time with them – either playing at the beach or in my backyard.

Value 2 – Church. The church I attend to is The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I go to church every Sunday to partake of the sacrament and to attend class. I also go to youth. The two necklaces are for youth and the members of our church. The Book Of Mormon is another testament on Jesus Christ and we read that in our church.

Value 3 – Nationality/Heritage. My nationality is Tongan (I’m also part American, Fijian, and Tuvaluan). I was born in Hawaii and I am currently raised here in New Zealand. I am proud of my culture and I want to continue to speak my Tongan language – fluently.

Value 4 – Education. I care about my education and value it. I go to school everyday because education is important and everyone needs it. I believe that my education will get me where I want to be in the future.

Lastly I drew myself in the middle. I also love and value myself.

Extension 2022 Whakatauki Term 1

Hello, welcome back to my blog/welcome to my blog! This term in extension we have been focusing on Maori proverbs. I made a scratch project animation based around my chosen proverb. I enjoyed learning how to code a animation on scratch. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Literacy – Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Hello, welcome back to my blog/welcome to my blog! Yesterday in literacy we learnt and read about the conflict and invasion with Russia and Ukraine (and some other countries involved with this). I answered some questions about the test and wrote a letter to Vladmir Putin. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Writing – Character Description

Hello, welcome back to my blog/welcome to my blog! Today in literacy we wrote a character description about a certain character. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Writing piece: He is covered with jewellery, head to toe. His name is Richard Harrison. Harrison is from the island of Goldenland. His hobbies include horse riding, fencing, and searching for jewellery. Harrison is known for his fencing skills which are incredible. Fencing has been through their family for generations.

What would you do with $15?

Hello, welcome back to my blog/welcome to my blog!

Today for Inquiry we learnt about responsibility – what would you do with $15? There where different options that were given to us such as first class, going to Fiji, hostel, etc. Those are actually the three things I chose to spend my money with. We made a poster of the things we spent our money on.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Why I chose these to spend $15 on: I want to visit Fiji just because it seems like a tropical and beautiful place, with amazing beaches. I also wanted first class because I know about the service, space, and privacy you get and I think that is really cool. Lastly I chose hostel so I can have some where to stay overnight and I like bunk beds.

Mihi

Hello blog viewers/welcome to my blog! Our task for the afternoon was to say our Mihi, with pride. I said this with my Vika. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.
