Literacy – Kahoot

On Monday for literacy we played kahoot. There were four different teams. I was on a team with Emeline, Mele, and Legacy. We played kahoot as a fun activity and to have fun before our reading test. We chose a netball quiz which we came first on. We tried our best on the other quizzes. We came third place. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Maths – Other Graphs!

Today for maths we have learnt more about graphs. We learnt mostly about scatter graph and stem and leaf graph. I really enjoyed this because it helps me with stats investigation and maths memory. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Literacy – The Winning Side

This is a FIOP task. For our reading task we had to read a book called ‘The Winning Side’ and work on a slideshow about the book. This has probably been my favourite book and task I’ve worked on during literacy. The book is meaningful and relatable. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Writing – My Inspiration

This week for writing we had to write two paragraphs about one person who inspires us. I chose President Russell M Nelson. He is an inspiration for me. I hope you enjoy this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

A man of faith and happiness, Russell M Nelson. Prophet Russell M Nelson serves as the 17th prophet of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. President Nelson is a retired surgeon, he attended Medical School, Utah and Minnesota University, and Ensign School.  He was born on the 9th of September 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. He and his wife Wendy Watson Nelson both have 10 children.

Prophet Nelson is one of my inspirations. I look up to this wonderful man who truly speaks the truth and shares his knowledge. He receives revelation from our father in heaven.  He is a great leader and leads our church both physically and spiritually. When he became a member of the quorum of the 12 apostles, he visited 133 nations. One of the many amazing miracles he performed was open-heart surgery on President Spencer W Kimball (12th prophet) and developed the heart lung machine which saved hundreds of people and developed the heart lung machine which save hundreds of people.

Maths – Statistical Investigation (completed)

Last week Friday my group and I finished our statistical investigation. They basically finished the conclusion. This whole investigation was based on hours of sleep. Our two variables that we chose were hours of sleep and our well being.  This was very fun and interesting to learn about. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Future Aspirations

This morning, the year seven and eights had a talk from ex Pt England Students. They all have great careers and come to talk about what they do and to inspire us.

They shared good stories and what things really inspired them. They also shared thinking coaches that I will probably remember forever. My favourite thinking coaches was ‘Do what brings you joy’ and ‘Don’t let yourself become your own barrier’. Some of us really need to choose wisely about what they wish their career to be and make sure that it makes you very joyful. The only one that is stopping you is yourself so don’t pull yourself back and be around others who support you.

I’ve been so inspired and grateful for this session. We had a Q&A which answered many of our questions.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Saineha 1st Primary Halloween Program

Last week Saturday, my ward (Saineha 1st) had a Halloween program for the Primary.

We went to the church hall and set up our station. We had balloons, webs, spiders, lanterns, something black aesthetic hanging from the ceiling, lollies, etc. Soon the children and their families started arriving. They played some teamwork/individual activities. Once they finished that they went around and trick or treated past stations. When every kid got a pack of lollies from us we gave them a game to play to win a pack of lollies of a bigger pack. The bishopric had a cake eating contest which was very entertaining and funny.
