SLJ – Kick Start: Arts for Arts Sake

Today I chose the Arts for Arts Sake task from the Summer Learning Journey week two. I thought this would be very fun and interesting, indeed it was. For this task we had to create a silhouette with our family on it. Since I’ve made a silhouette it was pretty easy. This photo was from a couple of years ago. It was my family and I at the Hamilton Temple museum. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

  1. Kia ora Finau,

My name is Theresa and I am one of the Summer Learning Journal commenters.

Thank you for sharing this lovely silhouette art of your family. I love that you have chosen a beach sunset to put behind your family! Do you enjoy going to the beach?

This photo of your family is beautiful! I have never been to the Hamilton Temple Museum! What is it like there? Do you go there often?

Look forward to hearing back from you!

    1. Hi Theresa,
Thank you very much for your comment. I’m glad that you like the chosen background. Yeah I really love it and enjoy it. Hopefully we go for new years. How about you?
Thanks! Oh it is beautiful! I can’t remember what it looks like because it was under renovation but re-opened in August (open house). All I can remember was that huge statue of Jesus Christ behind us.
Another museum I went to earlier this year was Pacific museum. It shared many church facts and ancient artefacts (if that’s what you call it).
      Thanks again,
      Finau

  2. Kia ora Finau,

Thanks for replying back to me.

I love the ocean too, one of the best things about summer is swimming in the ocean 🙂 I will hopefully get a few swims in. The pacific museum sounds interesting. What is the name of it ? – I don’t recall hearing about it before. Artifacts, yeah that’s what they are called. What did you learn about while you were – what was the most interesting thing for you?

Hope you are having a lovely weekend
    Theresa 🙂
