Tongan Language Week 2022

Last week was Tongan Language Week. The theme for this week/year was “Ke Tu’uloa ‘a e lea faka-Tonga’ ‘i Aotearoa”. That week was so packed with fun and exciting things (mostly to do with Tonga). On Friday we did our Tau’olunga and shared it with the school. The boys also shared their dance. I had so much fun that week and really enjoyed it. I hope you have enjoyed this post. (Malo Melemanu, Cherish, Khalia, Maria, and Lesieli for making and helping out with this movie)

Tech/Hard Materials – Making the shape

Today for tech/hard materials we were choosing which design to cut out. I chose to cut out a turtle (which is my favourite animal). I had to trace it on a small square flat cardboard. Once I traced it i went to the machine and cut it out. I only did the body and a flipper. I enjoyed my second session and learnt something new. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Maths – Time for Time!

Today for maths we learnt about telling a time. This was based on 24 hour time and 12 hour time. This was really fun and good to learn about. I have 24 hour time on my chromebook which I’m really glad about because I know it off by heart. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Speeches – Self Reflection

Task Description: Last week I shared my speech with my literacy task. For this we had to write a self reflection about ourselves and our speech. My speech was about Hawaii and why it should be your number one destination.

Self Reflection: I think that my speech turned out really well. I think it was a success. I was clear with my voice and I was loud enough that others could hear. I tried to make contact which was quite easy and difficult at the same time.

Hamilton Temple – Open House

On Saturday my ward and I went to Hamilton to see the Open House. There is a (The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints) temple in Hamilton that has been closed for four years due to work and construction.

I was so excited to go because I haven’t been here in a long time. I was also excited to go on a tour and visit all the rooms. The Celestial and Baptism room were my favourite. The Celestial room gave me a glimpse of what heaven would be like and the Baptism room was where I could baptise the dead in a couple months time.

I really enjoyed that experience and can’t wait to do work for others and for some of my non-member family.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.
