Netball Prize Giving 2022

Last week Thursday, PES had our first netball prize giving in two years. This was my sister and I, first netball prize giving. We first had an afternoon tea that I really enjoyed. next some netball teams were called up to get their awards and share their team cheer. My sister’s team went up (year 4 Gems). She got MVP and I was proud of her. Soon my team was called up, second to last (year 8 Warriors). I got MVP fro my team. I was very grateful and proud of myself. All netballers got goodies bags. Thank you to all the coaches, managers, and family for coming out to help and support. I had a great season! I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Extension T3 Project – Cultural Art

This term for Extension we have been focusing on Photopea and cultural art. Photopea is an online photo editing software where you can edit photos and draw different art pieces. I chose to do France and draw the many unique things about France. I really enjoyed drawing this and using photopea. I also enjoyed learning new facts based around France. The second photo below is my research about France and what my art might look like. We are displaying our art at our school art expo. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Task Description: Last week and this week my literacy class is learning about explanation writing. We were put into groups and had to write an introduction based on planet earth. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Earth the blue planet. It’s the 3rd planet from the sun. In this essay we will be talking about earth, its place in the solar system, humans and species and the structure of earth. 70% of earth is made up of water.

Maths – Raro Experiment!

After we did our maths task about ratios we did a raro experiment. We used 80 grams of raro and 1000ml of water. I chose a mango orange. After we simplified (2:25) we made the drink. Some of us said that we needed more and others said that we need less. Our working out/maths are shown on the images. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Maths – Ratio Introduction

Today’s maths task was about Ratios. We moved on from measurement and now we are focusing on a new segment, ratios. We did a quick lesson on what ratios are and how to find them. I thought this was going to be super tricky but it seems quite easy. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Literacy – Phobia

Today’s reading task was about phobias. Phobia is an anxiety disorder or a fear. We read a text based on a kid trading phobias with a strange man. We answered questions about the story and wrote a time we tried to conquer our fears (my phobia is Entomophobia). I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

Cross Country 2022!

Last week Friday our school had our Cross Country run (last year we didn’t have won). We got dressed in our house colours Hikianalia (yellow), Hokulea (green), Te Aurere (red), and Hinemoana (blue). I’m the house captain for the blue house. The house captains shared their chants which we all enjoyed doing. After that we went in random order of age groups to start the run. I came 4th which I’m quite proud of. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.
